How do we take care of them?

Learning Points: Do cows have beds?  Do cows really get their nails done?  What is the most important element for milk products?

Cows move freely about a barn eating, sleeping, and relaxing which is when they produce milk. Cows actually have their own beds or easy chairs just like dad!  Our cows lay in freestalls with a rubber mattress and sawdust for covers!

A doctor called a veterinarian and a hoof trimmer come to the farm at least twice each month to check cows, and keep them healthy.  Cows have their nails trimmed 1 to 2 times each year just like your fingernails.

People work around the clock to take care of our herd's every need.  Our cows stay in a Five Star Hotel and eat fine foods every day.  Great food and a tidy home are very important.  However, water is the most important element for a cow to produce milk!
